The following areas are available for public use on a first-come basis. Park visitors should plan to bring sports equipment, including balls. On certain occasions the areas will have been reserved for use and may be occupied. In that instance, a reservation permit sign will be posted at the area. Use of the Anson B. Nixon Park Fields by any organization requires a permit.

Tino Leto Athletic Fields

On January 1, 2011, The Southern Chester County Soccer Association entered into a 10-year agreement with The Kennett Area Park Authority to renovate, maintain, and manage the Tino Leto fields at Anson B. Nixon Park. The Southern Chester County Soccer Association (SCCSA) has been promoting youth soccer in Southern Chester County since 1977. The club gives children from ages 4 through 17 the opportunity to forge friendships, learn teamwork, and grow through the challenges of recreation and travel soccer programs. A favorite feature of the Park, the youth basketball court is located near the Park entrance and next to the playground.

Disc Golf

The Anson B. Nixon Park is home to an 18-hole Disc Golf Course. Full Disc Golf Course Map.┬áIt enjoys a reputation as one of the area’s premiere challenging courses. The scenic course runs through woods and grassy fields throughout the park. Novice and skilled golfers are often found throughout the day enjoying a round of golf. The Park enjoys a relationship with the Kennett Square Disc Golf Club who assists with maintenance of the course and organizes challenges throughout the season. Tennis Courts

Two solid surface, fenced, regulation size courts.


Two sand and one grass volleyball court are available for public use and may also be reserved for group use. Volleyball can be an active addition to a family reunion or summer picnic.
