We are excited to have the band, Hoots and Hellmouth performing the Park’s annual fundraiser. This year we will be partnering with the Mushroom Festival. The fundraising concert, Rock the Park, will be held Saturday night of the Mushroom Festival under the large tent at Willow and State Street. All proceeds go toward the operation of the Anson B. Nixon Park. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 7pm-10pm. 13th Annual Free Summer Concert Series Starts June 19th

The Anson B. Nixon Park is proud to host its free eight (8) week summer concert series in the park. In conjunction with the the Kennett Flash the summer concert series brings entertainment from all different musical genres, from country, jazz, rock, the blues and more.

The first concert of the 2019 season will start on Wednesday, June 19th from 7-9pm and will continue for the next consecutive Wednesdays with the last show presented on August 7th. The concerts are free and open to the public. Bring a blanket or a chair, sit back and enjoy the music in the beautiful out door setting of the Park. Each week a local restaurant is featured and will offer its signature dish for purchase.

Concerts are rain or shine events, and are only canceled in the event of severe weather. Shows start promptly at 7pm and run until 9pm with a brief intermission. Dinner is available for purchase from area restaurants at all performances, with desserts offered by La Michoacana Ice Cream and Sweet Magnolia Bakery.
